Copyright & takedown

Last updated: 26 September 2026

SoundSawt respects intellectual property. It does not host a public catalogue: files are private to the person who requested them and are deleted within minutes. If you are a rightsholder and believe the service is used to copy your work, tell us and we will act.

How to send a notice

Write to contact@soundsawt.com with:

  • your name and contact details (and the rightsholder you represent);
  • a precise description of the work concerned;
  • the address(es) (URL) of the video(s) concerned — the video page or link is enough;
  • a statement that you act in good faith and that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury where the DMCA applies, that you are the rightsholder or authorised to act for them;
  • your signature (electronic is fine).

What we do

On a valid notice we stop the conversion of the video concerned (it is added to a block list, so that new requests for it are refused), we delete any remaining copy, and we tell you what we did. We do this promptly. We may end access for people who repeatedly infringe.

This process covers notices under the US DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) and the notice-and-action mechanism of the EU Digital Services Act (art. 16).

Counter-notice

If content was blocked by mistake, write to us with your details, the address concerned and a statement, in good faith, that the block is an error. We will review it and, where appropriate, tell the sender of the notice.
